Multimodal Learning Analytics

Technology is changing the way we learn, and the way we learn about learning behaviors. In my independent studies in Fall 2018, I synchronized multi-level sensor data, and applied black-box clustering models to examine changes in eye gaze, physiological activities, and motions in a collaborative learning setting. My analysis was enhanced by an extensive qualitative review of video records, performed by one of my coworkers in the Learning, Innovation, and Technology Lab. Our work has been published and presented at the Educational Data Mining forum in Summer 2019. You can checkout the publication here, and my analysis here.
